Centuries back one of Vazhappully family’s forefather performed intense meditation and made Vimana Gandharva (The King of Gandharvas) appear before him and gave him a place in this temple to be worshipped. Due to the presence of supreme soul of Vimana Gandharva (King of Gandharvas), all Gandharva doshas are believed to be removed in this temple.
